They say your kidneys are in perfect health,
And your liver enzymes are doing just swell,
Seems it’s just your brain that’s rotten to hell.
You fill my cup with a hot simmering rage,
Then you top up yours, disregarding the malaise,
While accusing us of trying to put you in a cage.
But it’s you that built the fortress against all,
Every soldier bruised breaching your high walls,
No one left can stomach your vitriol.
You throw accusations as readily as fists,
Don’t care who gets hurt, as long as you get your fix,
Perhaps you were good once but your legacy is this.
Many tried to love you and save you all the same,
Suspecting some remorse, buried deep beneath the shame,
But I can’t bear your crosses anymore just to take the blame.
